Specific features of operation technique
The usual position when administering general anesthesia to the patient is placing him/her lying on his/her back. However, this position does not allow good access to the fat tissue accumulated in the back area of the inner thigh. But turning the patient around, when he/ she is under general anesthesia, is quite dangerous. This marks the procedure as a really difficult one and obtaining good results requires a proper diagnosis and a precise surgical technique.
Skin elasticity
Women, who have fat tissue accumulations in the inner thighs and also have good skin elasticity, can obtain excellent results from liposuction. However, when the skin is loose and wrinkled, liposuction may not bring satisfactory improvements. In older women, as well as in women who have lost significant weight, the skin on the inside of the thighs is looser and more wrinkled. Liposuction procedures cannot lead to improvement of the skin appearance and in many cases – can even worsen it.
Postoperative care
