About the procedure

Thigh lifting is a surgical procedure through which you can gain tighter and more attractive thighs. The operation aims to smooth and reshape the inner and / or outer part of the thighs, removing excess skin and subcutaneous fat. The procedure removes stubborn fat which cannot be lost with exercise and strict diets. The most common cause of sagging skin on the thighs is the loss of its elasticity caused by frequent weight fluctuations and aging. In some cases, it is because of the naturally greater storage of fat in that specific area.

How is procedure performed

The operation is performed under general anesthesia within 2-3 hours. Your plastic surgeon makes small incisions along the inside or outside of the thigh, depending on which part you have excess skin on, after which it is removed. For optimal results, this procedure is very often combined with liposuction, which reduces the outer thigh or buttocks as well. The incisions are minimal and made in places that will be difficult to notice later. All this will be discussed with you in advance during your online consultation.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is the procedure performed?

Anyone can benefit from this procedure, but it will be most suitable for people who have sagging skin on the inside and / or outside of the thighs and / or accumulated fat that cannot be removed by exercise.

Your surgeon will give you detailed information for the preoperative preparation a few weeks prior to your plastic surgery.

The most important advice for smokers is to stop smoking for at least 2 weeks (or 4 weeks and even more, if possible). Smoking prevents healing and increases the risk of complications. You should not smoke until the wounds heal well, at least two weeks after surgery.

You should stop taking aspirin or medicine containing aspirin, anti inflammatory drugs and herbal supplements as they all increase the risk of bleeding. Your surgeon will advise you how long prior to the operation you should stop taking these medicines.

High blood pressure also needs to be well controlled during surgery. So if your blood pressure is elevated, you should discuss it with your surgeon.

It is extremely important to discuss your expectations with your plastic surgeon. This will allow him to assess whether they are achievable with the selected procedure. In some cases, two or three sessions may be needed to achieve the desired effect, and in others – it may be necessary to combine procedures for a better result.

You will be accompanied by an employee of ours to the clinic and where you are staying before and after the operation.

After the operation you will have to wear special tight compression clothes. Your surgeon will tell you for how long.

Depending on the volume of the procedure and the type of your job, you will have to be absent from work for 1-2 weeks. If your job involves physical activity, rest may take longer.

You will be able to return to the gym in about 6 weeks.

You will not be able to drive for at least 2 weeks.

It may take some time to see the final results of the procedure. Bruising and swelling of the thighs have to be expected for at least 2 weeks. It will take about 6-8 weeks to recover completely and then you will be able to clearly see the results of the procedure.

The post-operative instructions of your surgeon should be strictly followed in order  to speed up recovery.

All risks will be discussed with you during the consultation with your surgeon. Scarring is some of the potential ones, but in a minimum degree and with a great chance to become invisible over time and with proper treatment. Bleeding, bruising and swelling, as well as allergic reactions are risks that, although minimal, are possible with any surgery. In general, you can minimize the risks by following all the instructions given to you by your surgeon, before and after surgery

Prices are formed individually after an online consultation and depending on the patient’s personal needs. Once we know what you want, you will receive our offer within 24 hours. You also can check our PRICE LIST.
